  • Lo Wu Station is the world busiest border control, which handles over 250,000 travelers/day in special festival holidays.
  • The station washrooms generate heavy odours making the users and adjacent shoppers uncomfortable.
  • NCCO effectively eliminate the odour and offers comfortable environment; adjacent empty shops spaces are thus rented out.
  • NCCO reduces the power usage for having less air change.
  • MTR adopts NCCO for most of station washrooms.

NCCO Technology

Nano-Confined Catalytic Oxidation (NCCO) is a new air treatment system produced to solve the issues in air purification technologies commonly used in the market. These technologies include activated carbon, photocatalyst and negative ions.

For instance, activated carbon filters have a service life from 2 to 3 months. Once saturated, pollutants will be released back into the air. The higher frequency of filter replacements increases both the cost of use and production levels from manufacturers, causing a negative impact on the environment.

Decompose air pollutants into non-harmful products such as water (H2O) and carbon dioxide (CO2)

NCCO Description

The NCCO (Nano Catalytic Confined Oxidation) Air Purification System utilizes a patented multi-stage purification process combining electrostatic filtration, activated carbon absorption, and nano-catalytic oxidation to continuously eliminate airborne pollutants, bacteria, viruses, and VOCs. Unlike conventional filters that trap contaminants, the NCCO reactor actively decomposes and converts harmful gases and organic compounds into harmless water and carbon dioxide, ensuring cleaner and safer air with minimal maintenance. Designed for high-demand environments, NCCO systems deliver long-lasting performance and superior indoor air quality.

Specification

Built with a corrosion-resistant steel housing, the NCCO system features a modular design combining a pre-filter, electrostatic precipitator, and nano-catalytic oxidation chamber for complete air purification. Its durable, regenerable catalyst ensures long service life, with optional carbon modules available for added VOC and odor control. Suitable for both ducted and standalone installations in commercial, healthcare, and industrial settings.
